28th of June

Grayslake celebrates July 4th the first Saturday before that date. So we had early fireworks this year. After Miles' party we rode our bikes over to Central Park to watch the show.

Thanks for a great Birthday Party everyone!

Early Birthday

Because his Babi and Grandpa Wyckoff were going to be on vacation on Miles birthday we set up a meeting with them in Des Plaines at the site of the famous (but never visited by us yet) Choo Choo Cafe.

Here a model train brings you your lunch.

Jason's brother on TV?!? Well, maybe streaming video...

So I was watching the primary results online via CNN.com (since we don't have extended cable), and I called my brother because Ella wanted to talk to him. As luck as it:
a) he's in Minneapolis
b) he randomly went to the Obama rally tonight
c) I was watching cnn.com, which had a feed of the rally
d) he was sitting in camera view.

Now granted, I couldn't make him out (see screen shot), but we tried our best. He waved. He put his hand in front of the flag. He took his shirt off (not really). Alas, our desire for Scott to get his .15 SECONDS of fame was no match for the grainy streaming video. We had a chuckle nonetheless.
